Graduation yearbook goes digital: what’s behind it
What is a digital graduation yearbook?
A digital graduation yearbook is the yearbook of a year group sitting the Abitur, Germany’s school-leaving exam, as a web publication; in German it is called the Abizeitung. It holds profiles, quotes, rankings, polls, teacher pages, photos and videos. The year group reaches it by link, password-protected if you like.
What belongs in a graduation yearbook?
A foreword, profiles of every student, teacher pages, quotes from lessons, rankings and polls, childhood photos, reports from school trips and the leavers’ prank, and the leavers’ ball.
What are the benefits of a digital graduation yearbook?
It saves printing costs and print-run risk, can be created together, can hold videos and galleries and stays online for good. Former students can still find it years later.
