Via a domain of your choice. You can take a free domain from us, meinmagazin.e-publikation.de, or you take one of your own. We would recommend that you use your own domain so that your readers recognize your brand.
The domain remains yours and is not transferred to us. Your IT department only needs to set up a redirect (CNAME) to our system. You are also free to choose whether you use a subdomain or toplevel domain.
Examples of our customers' own domains are magazin.asb.de or allaboutdigitalpublishing.com.
For technical reasons, it is not possible to host the site on client side. The services that make up Novamag are very complex and maintenance-intensive and are updated almost daily. Due to this high service effort, own hosting is not possible.
At this time, printing is not recommended. At present, the browser's print function is used, which does not achieve optimum results. We are working on a function with which individual pages, entire issues or the entire magazine can be generated as a printable PDF. This function can be found on our roadmap including a rough time frame for the implementation of this feature.
It is not yet possible to subsequently change a design template that has already been selected.
We already address this question under "Can I print my digital magazine?". As soon as the function for creating printable PDFs is available, you can also read the digital magazine offline. However, with the restriction that dynamic content such as videos, podcasts etc. will not be available offline.
We are currently working on a solution for creating printable PDFs that can be downloaded. However, we are considering extending this function so that hosted exports are being created and offered for download.
Novamag is an independent system and medium. We have made it our goal to make contemporary, interactive and individual digital magazines accessible to everyone. A classic e-book is definitely something else. An e-book is an electronic book that is available in digital form and can be read on e-book readers or with special software on PCs, tablets or smartphones. In this sense, you cannot publish classic e-books with Novamag.
Yes, there are no technical restrictions here. There are several customers among our references who use Novamag as a replacement for their website.
