Universität Graz

The University of Graz's science magazine UNIZEIT is published 3 times a year and covers a wide range of topics, ranging from socially relevant research and restricted movement during the pandemic to digitalization and artificial intelligence.

The 03/2021 issue of UNIZEIT magazine talks about enjoying the regained freedom.

The infection figures are falling, the old life is returning in cautious steps, but the uncertainty remains. When will the next wave come? What role do mutations play? How long will we have to wear masks? Scientists from the University of Graz show us from a psychological, philosophical and legal perspective how we can best master the situation, and reveal where we can fill up on lasting impressions and energy in the summer, even without long-distance travel.

About the University of Graz

The University of Graz, founded in 1585, is Austria's second oldest university and one of the largest in the country. Numerous outstanding scientists, including six Nobel Prize winners, have taught and conducted research here.

With 31,000 students and 4,300 employees, it makes a decisive contribution to the vibrant life of the Styrian capital. Its geographical location fosters a lively scientific, economic and cultural exchange with southeastern Europe, from which the city benefits just as much as its educational institutions.
