Tag function media library

Organize media easily

Fast access guaranteed! Simply add tags to images, audio files & videos, easily search and insert them in the desired location.




With every publication, the number of media uploaded via the media library increases. Be it images, videos, audio files or even PDFs. But how do you keep track of all the media?

The media library always displays uploaded files chronologically, so that media that were last put online appear at the top. The filter function "Type" can be used to filter by the different file formats. The filter function "Publication" can be used to display the media within a publication.

To keep things clear even with a large number of media, it is also possible to add tags to individual media. Using the "Add / Edit Tags" field, tags can either be defined directly during upload, selected or added to already uploaded media via the detailed view. Using the filter function "Filter by Tags", only the media that have been tagged with the defined tag are then displayed (example tags: logo, background, video, interview, stock material).




But not only in the media library the media can be filtered depending on the set tag. Also in the page editing in the selection of background media in the tab "Settings" as well as when inserting images in the text element ("Froala"), a corresponding search bar or icon appears, with which you can filter by tags.



This makes it easy to set tags for logos, background images or individual tags depending on the theme, so that you always have quick access to the desired media. By the way, it is not necessary to save the tags, because they are automatically set after input.

The Usercentrics solution supports companies in obtaining, flexibly adapting and reviewing user consent in a data protection-compliant manner across all platforms. The Usercentrics user interface provides a comprehensive overview of all user consents across all digital channels and helps companies to present a transparent consent management and to implement the GDPR accurately.

In the Novamag backend under "Project Settings - Legal" the possibility to use Usercentrics was recently created. To use the standard services provided by Usercentrics, it is sufficient to enter the Usercentrics ID created for the respective project. If it is also necessary to overwrite some of the predefined standard services, corresponding input fields have been implemented for this purpose, consisting of Service Name (any), Standard Service ID and Custom Service ID.

Prerequisite for the use of Usercentrics in the Novamag backend is in any case an independent account at Usercentrics, which is set up and managed by the customer. This is the only way to access the respective IDs and to make your own settings, e.g. regarding an individual cookie consent text.



Mobile & Tablet Settings

Whether tablet or smartphone: For an optimal reading experience, the image size and section can be determined individually




Responsive design has become an indispensable standard in the mobile world. While on a laptop you move in the horizontal 16:9 format, the screens of smartphones and tablets are usually in the vertical image format. Therefore, optimal display on all devices almost always involves a compromise of the text-image ratio.

Therefore, the "Mobile Settings" have been extended on template level to provide the possibility to upload an optimal background image for mobile view as well as for tablet view. In the default setting, the horizontal image section is always selected automatically. To adjust the image section, "vertical" must be selected in the drop-down menu.

The "Mobile Media Size" slider can also be used to specify how much screen space the image should take up.




However, a prerequisite for a visible change of the image section from horizontal to vertical is the adjustment of the vertical image section in the edit mode of the individual image in the media library. Only then will the defined vertical image section also be selected and visible in the frontend accordingly.
